It’s a case of nature versus nurture we’ll never crack. With Italian blood flowing through her veins, Patrizia Simone was bound to have a passion for food, but being brought up benchside by her mother, Lina, (a chef) sealed her fate.

Patrizia now carries the talents and traditions of generations – like foraging – with much of her high quality ingredients coming from select local growers that don’t sell commercially any more. Learn cooking the Italian way – start to finish. Forage, cook and dine with Patrizia Simone.

The low down:

Early in the morning venture to forage ingredients from the farms, producers and friends around Bright. Learn how to look for wild produce and select nuts and seasonal vegetables. Hands-on class using these ingredients to form the basis of five delicious Italian-inspired dishes. Refreshments, lunch with wine and recipes to take home.
